  • An intimate experience with Remote Hypnosis

    Remote Hypnosis (on Skype or Zoom) is an intimate experience between the hypnotherapist and the consultant, sometimes even more intimate than a face-to-face session in my office.

    In my long-standing professional experience as a certified hypnotherapist, I have helped may people in my hypnotherapy office and on line to help them break free from the obstacles that prevent them from enjoying their lives and to find the motivation to move forward on their path and take better care of themselves.

    Recently, I have noticed that people who have followed sessions in my office and remotely, ultimately prefer online sessions which give them a sense of being more confortable and safer in their own home environment.

    They found that face to face interaction on a screen is a subtly different and enjoyable experience of the "therapist-consultant" relationship.

    And this way of proceeding leads to the same positive effects and results.

    A common misconception is to think that hypnosis is a kind of magnetism which only works when the hypnotherapist and client are physically present in the same room.

    However, therapeutic hypnosis (or hypnotherapy) is not magnetism.

    Personally, I never touch people physically during a hypnotherapy session: everything is conveyed subtely through my voice, tone of voice, choice of words, metaphors, posture, synchronization techniques….

    In those difficult times we are going through with the coronavirus, this may be an opportunity for you to experience a hypnotherapy session on line.

    Here's what happens to your body when you quit smoking:


    In less time than it takes to prepare a good meal, your body is already feeling better. After 20 minutes, your pulse and blood pressure begin to return to normal, improving your blood circulation. As a result, your hands and feet warm up and return to their usual temperature.

    AFTER 8 HOURS:  At the end of a working day, your blood contains half the nicotine and carbon monoxide. Why is it important? Because carbon monoxide is a chemical found in cigarettes and removes oxygen from your blood.

    It causes muscle and brain problems as they don't get the amount of oxygen they need. But as the level of carbon monoxide drops, the body regulates its oxygen supply.

    On the other hand, it is likely that you are already feeling cravings and doubts and are considering smoking again. This is completely normal. But be aware that this usually only lasts 5-10 minutes. So try to find ways to distract yourself until that feeling goes away.

    AFTER 24 HOURS: If you smoke a pack a day, you are twice more likely to have a heart attack than a non-smoker. But spend a whole day without cigarettes and you will reduce that risk. It's huge !

    AFTER 48 HOURS: At this point, the nerve endings begin to regenerate, and your sense of taste and smell improve.

    In addition, your lungs expel mucus and nicotine from your body. This is also the time when the most difficult withdrawal symptoms appear. You may feel anxious, dizzy, hungry or tired. You may also get headaches or feel depressed. Do not give up, go to places where smoking is prohibited and try to distract yourself ...

    AFTER 3 DAYS: At the end of the third day, you breathe better and have more energy. Your lungs start to recover and will continue to get better.

    AFTER 2 WEEKS - 3 MONTHS: Good, you have overcome the most difficult period. You are making huge strides and can do more because your lungs are stronger and your blood circulation has improved. You can exercise without feeling short of breath, and your risk of heart attack continues to decrease.

    AFTER A YEAR: Your risk of heart disease is now half that of a year ago.

    AFTER 5 YEARS: Your risk of having a stroke and cervical cancer is now the same as that of a non-smoker. You are  percent less likely to get cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus or bladder.

    AFTER 10 YEARS: Compared to someone who still smokes, you are  percent less likely to die from lung, larynx or pancreatic cancer.

    AFTER 15 YEARS: The risk of heart disease is the same as that of someone who has never smoked. Your body has made a huge recovery to heal.

    Although cigarettes do great harm to the human body, the latter is able over time to recover, regenerate and heal. Now is the time to quit smoking and take action while it’s is still time.


    And you want have to go through the withdrawal symptoms nor the feelings of depression, irritation or compensate your cravings for cigarettes with food or other addictive behaviour.

    And you’ll keep motivated to keep on this healthy path !
